Dr Khan has been training and teaching Gastroenterology fellows for the last 8 years. He is the advanced endoscopist at Woodhull Medical Center. He has been a trained and experienced Surgeon with a Masters in General Surgery (MS) from India and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg (FRCS). His surgical background gives him an edge over other gastroenterologists.
His field of interest include colorectal cancer, diseases of stomach, pancreas, and liver. He performs colonoscopy with removal of all kinds of polyps, upper endoscopy for ulcers and cancers, and Endoscopic Ultrasonography for the upper Gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, colon and rectum. He also performs ERCP in patients with bile duct obstruction and jaundice. He also skillfully performs various procedures to palliate Gastrointestinal malignancies. He has performed over 25,000 procedures to date and counting. Dr. Khan consults patients in Brooklyn, Queens and in the Long Island area.
